Dr Brian Iddon MP in Urban Cricket Set Giveaway

15th August 2007

Bolton South East MP, Dr Brian Iddon is today urging local community and youth groups to get in touch with him to claim a free urban cricket set. Urban Cricket is new joint venture run by npower and the England Cricket Board aimed at youngsters aged between 7-12 years to encourage them to take up cricket.

Dr Iddon said,

“As a keen follower of cricket myself I would encourage as many young people as possible to take up this very enjoyable sport. Npower very kindly donated a number of urban cricket sets for me to distribute to local youth groups so if you would like one then do please get in touch with me”

Urban Cricket has only one rule, that there are no rules! You don’t even need a pitch, all you need is a bat and ball.
