Dr Brian Iddon MP welcomes Post Office Christmas Club Scheme

Following the Treasury’s Christmas Saving Scheme Review, Dr Iddon was pleased to hear of the Christmas Club Scheme recently launched by the Post Office. The scheme will help savers plan for Christmas 2008.

Dr Iddon said,

“In the wake of the Farepak disaster last year which affected a number of my constituents, I am really pleased to see an organisation like the Post Office acting in this way to encourage responsible saving.

We all know what an expensive time Christmas is and I would encourage my constituents to make use of schemes like the Post Office Christmas Club and others that have received Christmas Prepayment Association approval to ensure that the savings they make towards the cost of Christmas next year will receive the protection they deserve.”
