Dr Brian Iddon MP takes part in Rehab UK Pancake Race

5th February 2008

Dr Brian Iddon MP today donned his chef’s hat and apron to take part in the annual Rehab UK Parliamentary Pancake Race. The race-starter was UK and Commonwealth 400m record holder Iwan Thomas.

With teams from the Commons, Lords and the Media taking part it was a closely fought race which saw the Commons team narrowly beaten by the Media team.

Dr Iddon said:

“I have taken part in every Rehab UK Pancake Race since they started 11 years ago. They are an excellent way to raise awareness about the support needs of those who suffer a head injury. Even though we didn’t win this year I was delighted to see so many spectators turn out to watch.”
