Praise for the Bolton Technical Innovation Centre in House of Commons

28th March 2008

Dr Brian Iddon MP yesterday used Questions to the Innovation, Universities and Skills Ministerial Team to praise the work of all those involved in the Bolton Technical Innovation Centre (TIC)

Dr Iddon said,

“I wanted to draw the Ministers’ attention to the excellent work being done in Bolton at the TIC to encourage young people to get involved in science and innovation. The TIC has some fantastic facilities and I wanted to make the point that this sort of facility should be available for young people up and down the country to allow them to nurture their talent for and interest in science and innovation.”

In response the Minister praised the work of all those involved in Bolton TIC and said how vital these sorts of centres were in inspiring young people become engaged with and pursue a career in science.
