Dr Brian Iddon MP Holds Liver Disease in Debate in Westminster Hall

21st May 2008

Dr Brian Iddon MP is today hosting a debate in Westminster Hall on Liver Disease to mark World Hepatitis Day on 19th May 2008.

Dr Iddon said,

“I am really delighted to be holding this debate during National Tackling Drugs Week and just two days after the first World Hepatitis Day. Deaths from liver disease are on the increase as are rates of hepatitis infection; I wanted to use this debate to draw the Governments attention to this issue and to ask them to consider a National Service Framework for Liver Disease to ensure this important disease area receives the attention it deserves.”
